Figlio di Dark Angel (Acclamation), leader dello Yeomanstown Stud e Champion 2 year old sire, confermato anche nel 2022, è prodotto della fattrice Folga (Atraf) che ha dato i natali anche alla campionessa Mecca’s Angel, due volte vincitrice delle Nunthorpe Stakes G1 di York.
Dal 2022, Markaz si trasferisce all'Allevamento Renaccino a Siena, Italia. La scuderia è gestita dall’esperto allevatore Marco Lucarelli ed è stata precedentemente la residenza di molti famosi stalloni, tra cui il vincitore di 2000 Guineas MYSTICO.
